Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau director Manoj Abraham has ordered an investigation into the letter controversy allegedly written by Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor Arya Rajendran. After receiving four complaints over the controversy, the Vigilance chief has been asked to examine the letters.
The case pertains to the alleged letter written by the Mayor and forwarded to CPM District secretary Anavoor Nagappan seeking a list of party members for the appointments in the corporation.
Thiruvananthapuram Vigilance Special Investigation Unit I SP KE Baiju will lead the probe team in the case. The probe team will examine whether the controversial letter was a part of any corruption or backdoor appointments in the corporation.
