The husband was arrested after the woman was found stabbed inside the house in Kaladi Matur. Kaladi police arrested Shaiju (49) at Varailanveet, Matur. Shaiju admitted to the police that he had stabbed his wife with a knife following an argument over family issues. He was brought to the scene and evidence was collected.
Shaiju’s wife Sunitha was found dead after being stabbed at her husband’s house on Chembiseri Road, Mathur, around 2 pm on Wednesday. He was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Angamaly but died.
A special team has been formed as per the instructions of District Police Chief Vivek Kumar. Ayyampuzha Inspector M. Manoj, Kaladi SIs TB Bibin, Vipin V. Pillai, S. Sukesan, K.A. Polachan, G. Satheesan, S.C.P.O. M.V. Jayanti and others are in the investigation team.
