Alphonse Putran is one of the hit directors in Malayalam cinema. Alphonse earned fans all over India with the hit film Premam.
Gold was the film directed after the success of Premath. Prithviraj starrer film was a film that came with huge hype.
Gold had the biggest hype for a Malayalam film in recent times.
But when the film reached the theatre, it was broken. The film failed to create any movement at the box office.

Because of this, Alphonse Putran was criticized by movie lovers. Alphonse took a break from social media when the criticism became severe.
Now Alphonse’s words about Gold are getting attention on social media.
Alphonse was talking about Gold’s failure.
Under an Instagram post made the other day, a fan came up with a question whether the deleted scene of Premat will be released. Alphonse also said about Gold in his reply.
“In Prema, scenes that did not fit the character of George I had written were omitted. George would not have agreed with the script but Malar would not have agreed with the script either. So don’t ask me this question again.
Because I respect the script”, says Alphonse about Gold after writing this.
“The gold you saw is not my gold. I just put my logo on Prithviraj and Listyn Stephen’s initiative for the covid era.
Written by Kaitapram sir, I couldn’t picture the song sung by Vijay Yesudas and Shweta Mohan. I loved that song so much. I had asked all the actors to set aside two days of dates to shoot that song. But it didn’t happen.

Similarly, I did not get the kind of warmth and facilities that the script demanded in this film. At that time I was suffering from chronic pancreatitis so I could only do screenplay, direction, coloring and editing. So forget gold”, said Alphonse Putra.
Alphonse is currently working on the Tamil film Gift.
While working on it, Alphonse announced through social media that he is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and that he is ending the film direction. He withdrew this post after a huge discussion.
