In a strict sense, if there is a reason to by the new Moto X4, then it would definitely be the phone’s compactness. Even in that sense, with plenty of options out there in the market, Moto X4 can’t highlight this attribute. It is true that the company has made a good piece of work in terms of the display aspect. But, that might not be able to cover the negativity of sporting a rather underwhelming camera.

About Moto X4 Design:
In terms of display, Moto X4 brings you a 5.2 inch screen, with a curved glass back – essentially a Gorilla Glass3. It does give a feel of being compact enough for ease usage. Visually, Moto X4 has managed to earn quite a good rating, though you can’t miss the downwardness of the thick bezels on the front. It would have been better if the makers had managed to design thinner bezels. At 1080p, Moto X4 is capable of delivering a pleasant experience with its impressive contrast and colours. Well, we all know that Moto X4 hasn’t got an 18:9 aspect ratio. However, you can be sure that the phone is being protected well from possible breakages, thanks to the glass cover and the metallic frame around the device.
In terms of design, Moto has thus managed to provide a decent outing with X4. Weighing for just 163 grams, Moto X4 doesn’t really bother you while on a travel.

Moto X4 Performance:
Sporting eight Cortex 53 cores, the Snapdragon 630 chipset has managed to clock a speed of 2.2GHz. During the test, it was seen that the phone didn’t take much time in terms of app launches and delivers decent performances – provided that you are not playing high end gaming applications.
Meanwhile, without the support of Alexa and lack of availability of Google network in India, it has to be seen how Moto X4 is going to perform, even if Amazon releases the voice app soon in the near term. The 3,000mAh battery completes a working day without much a hassle. Now, to add that, this one doesn’t deserve to be called a super battery.
Camera:
Featuring a dual lens camera with 12MP and 8MP, Moto X4 decided to move out from its routine affair with the monochrome plus RGB sensor combination. The change however lacks a great performing rear camera, with the phone experiencing barrel distortion quite a lot. The curved effect might not find many takers amongst a generation, which loves taking realistic and natural pictures. Even the secondary camera fails to deliver seamless zooming. It also under performs during low light conditions.
Moto X4 Verdict:
Arguably the slowest camera in the market, amongst the price segment which it is attached to, Moto X4 is sure to find an appeal amongst the users, who primarily targets compactness. However, with a rather under performing camera and not so fast processor, the destiny of Moto X4 lies mainly among the brand lovers.
