India Yamaha Motors announced the arrival of a new model from their kitty, FZF – R1. The vehicle, which is priced at INR 20.73 Lakh for the Indian market, is going to be available in two colour variants – Yamaha Blue and Tech Black. Set to be imported into the country in a Completely Built Unit (CBU), Yamaha YZF – R1 has got a 998cc 4 cylinder, cross plane engine to power it. The engine is capable of producing 200bhp without going to the extent of ram air pressurization.
Mated to a 6 speed gearbox, 2018 Yamaha YZF – R1 has got 2 Electronic Aids – Quick Shift System (QSS), and Lift Control System (LIF). Weighing for 199kg, the 2018 Yamaha YZF – R1 keeps a large 10.5 liter air box.
