Facebook has started rolling out the ‘Downvote’ button on its platform. The button will help users dislike, facebook posts, which they found uninteresting. By clicking the ‘Downvote’ button, users would be asked to rate the particular ‘post/comment’ into the categories – ‘offensive’, ‘misleading’ and ‘off topic’. Earlier, announced on February this year, ‘Downvote’ button is something, which facebook users were waiting for a long time.
‘Downvote’ will aid the social media giant in sizing down fake stories from its platform. Facebook, in the last week, had announced that it would bring down the instances of ‘Fake News feeds’ from its platform. Besides machines, the company has also deployed human fact checkers in every country.
