With ‘Mee Too’ campaign gaining stronghold in Mollywood also, director Aashiq Abu has come up with an exemplary initiative. Announcing an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) for all of the movies, which will be produced by his OPM Cinemas, Aashiq Abu made it clear that the committee is aimed at securing a safe working condition for women in his movies. The young director also maintained that women will have the option of reporting any such instance of improper behavior faced during the shooting of movies produced by OPM.
Earlier, the WCC members have raised the issue of safety of women working in Malayalam cinema, during their press meet held last day. The announcement of Aashiq Abu has received positive response from social media corners, who hailed the young director for leading the path. More and more directors and producers are expected to follow the suit soon in the coming days.
