The Election Commission has released the final numbers of the Kerala Lok Sabha Elections. The voting, which took place last day, saw the state witnessing one of the best voting turnouts in its history. Though we had numbers ticking around 77 percent, from last day itself, the final number, as was released by the Election Commission, positioned the Kerala Lok Sabha voter turnout to be 77.68 percent.

While Kannur constituency held the pole position with a voting percentage of 83.05 percent, Thiruvananthapuram finished last with a figure of 73.45 percent. These impressive figures add up to the fact that 13 out of the state’s 20 lok sabha constituencies had recorded more than a million voters exercising their right to vote. The Election Commission reports further adds that, out of the 203,31,3833 voters turned up to vote, 10,61,3049 men and 9,70,1721 women casted their votes. 63 out of the total of 174 transgenders in the state too made their presence felt in this year’s assembly elections.
