During the past 24 hours, a total of 27,114 fresh cases were reported in India. This happened to be the highest daily toll number till date in India. The country has also registered 519 new deaths during the last 24 hours. This is the first time that the daily death toll in the country has gone past the 500 mark. With this, the pandemic has claimed a total of 22,123 lives from India so far. The total number of Covid positive cases in India has also crossed 8 lakh figure. Till date, at total of 8,20,916 cases have been reported in India.
Ministry of Health informs that the active cases in India stands at 2,83,407, whereas a total of 5,15,386 got cured/discharged/migrated. ICMR statistics show that India has tested 2,82,511 samples in the past 24 hours. With this, the total samples tested by the country stands at 1,13,07,002. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi continue to lead India’s Corona chart.
