Kerala has registered a total of 1129 new Covid positive cases. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 752. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 24,722, while the state’s total active cases have reached 10,862. A total of 13,779 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 89 are from overseas, while 114 came from other states.
The state has registered 880 cases through transmission in the past 24 hours. Out of those who caught the disease through transmission, the sources of 58 are yet to be traced down. Incidentally, the state has also recorded 8 more Covid death case, taking the tally to 81. Koyamu (82) from Malappuram, Ashraf (52) from Ernakulam, Abdul Rahman (72) from Kasargode, Babu (52) from Thiruvananthapuram, Noushad (49) from Kozhikode, Asuma Beevi (73) from Kollam, and Chandran (59) from Thrissur have succumbed to death.

Right now, 1,43,996 people are under observation, out of which a total of 10,380 are in hospital. Today, a total of 1,257 people have been admitted to hospitals. During the last 24 hours, Kerala has tested a total of 20,518 samples. Till date, Kerala has tested a total of 7,95,919 samples. The results of 5,971 test results are yet to come.
