Days ahead of the release of Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Beast’, the Kuwait government has banned its release in the country. The Kuwait government has banned Beast as it shows visuals of Islamic terrorism, which is against their interests. ‘Beast’, the most anticipated film of Vijay will have a worldwide release on April 13.
This is not the first time, Kuwait has banned an Indian film. Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup and Vishnu Vishal’s FIR were banned. While Kurup showed a criminal taking shelter in their country, FIR spoke about terrorism.

Recently, the makers of Beast had released its trailer that showed the film which revolves around a spy’s (Vijay) quest to rescue people held hostage in a shopping mall by terrorists.
However, the film has got a clean chit to release in Gulf countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain. Beast will clash at the box office with Yash’s KGF 2.
Beast’s star-studded cast includes Thalapathy Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko and Yogi Babu in key roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and Sun Pictures’ Kalanithi Maran has bankrolled the film.
