Ace director Sathyan Anthikad’s ‘Makal’ featuring Jayaram and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles is prepping for release and the film has now got a clean ‘U’ certificate recently. The film is slated to release on April 29.
As part of the film’s promotion actress Meera Jasmine will be arriving in Kerala from Dubai on April 10. The film also marks the comeback of Meera Jasmine after a while.
Actors including Devika Sanjay, Naslren, Innocent, Sreenivasan, Sidhique, Altaf Salim, Jayasankar, Dayyana Hameed, Meera Nair, Sreedhanya, Nilja Baby, and Balaji Manohar, will be seen in some pivotal roles.
The film is bankrolled by Central Productions. ‘Makal’ script is written by Iqbal Kuttipuram and cinematography is done by S Kumar. Vishnu Vijay is the music director, while Rahul Raj is composing the background score, and Harinarayanan is the lyricist.
The makers of the film had its first teaser launched on March 16 where Jayaram and Meera Jasmine are playing a middle-aged couple, who has a teenage daughter, played by Devika Sanjay. The film is touted to be a light-hearted family film.
