The most awaited Malayalam film ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ starring legendary Megastar Mammootty as Sethurama Iyer will hit the theatres worldwide on May 1. The film is censored with a U/A certificate.
Mammootty announced the release date by taking to his official Facebook handle and sharing a new poster from the film. Sharing the poster Mammootty penned a note that read, “ ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ releasing worldwide on May 1, 2022.”

The audience and fans alike are eagerly waiting for the grand release of the CBI series and to witness the iconic character Sethurama Iyer back in action. The film is helmed by director K Madhu and scripted by the veteran writer SN Swamy. ‘CBI 5:The Brain’ is produced under the banner of Swargachithra.
The film also marks the comeback of veteran actor Jagathy Sreekumar as CBI officer character Vikram along with Mukesh who will be essaying the role of the CBI officer Chacko. Saikumar will play the character DYSP Sathyadass in the film.
The fifth installment to the CBI series will also feature new actors including Soubin Shahir, Dileesh Pothan, Sudev Nair, Anoop Menon, Kaniha, Malavika Menon, Ramesh Pisharody, Prasanth Alexander, and Renji Panicker.
