Now, this must be an interesting announcement. The latest reports from Bollywood suggest that a biopic is getting ready in the background about Kerala’s own PT Usha. Malayaly director Revathy S Varma is said to have helmed the project, with Katrina Kaif essaying the central role. Though we are far from reporting an official announcement, insiders suggest that makers are in a process of casting right artists for the roles.
Revathy S Varma, in the past, has directed a project, June with Jyothika, in Tamil. Anyhow, with the movie on Kerala’s most celebrated sportswoman getting ready in Bollywood, it is certainly a high point for the entire state. However, a section has started criticizing the casting of Katrina Kafi to essay the role of PT Usha.
