The police raid was conducted at the White House Lodge in Karukappally. A six-member drug gang was caught from a room here. Alka Boney from Varapuzha as a model and Ebin Laiju from Mala as her boyfriend are the main accused. Mohammad Azhar, Ranjith, Suraj and Ashiq Ansari from Thodupuzha have also been arrested.
The police said that the sale and consumption of drugs was carried out in the name of Ashiq. Under the guise of modeling, Alka and her team were drunk. They have been involved in drug deals before. The sale was done by delivering liquor from Bangalore. The book found in their room also contains the figures of recent drug sales.
