Airtel CEO and Managing Director Shashi Arora has stepped down from his position in the company. The decision came on the wake of the recent issues of the company’s with that of Aadhaar e – KYV misuse. Following the issue, the UIDAI went onto suspend Airtel’s Aadhaar e – KYC linking service, though it was repositioned later.
Part of the company since 2006, Shashi Arora’s resignation was confirmed by Airtel officials. Though kept mum regarding the e – KYC issue, the statement released by Airtel, praised Shashi Arora’s contribution towards the growth story of Airtel during the past 11 years. Well, Airtel is expected to name his successor soon in the coming days.
