The next production venture of Aashiqu’s ‘OPM Cinemas’ has been titled ‘Haagar’. The project, which will see scriptwriter Harshad making his directorial debut, features Sharafudheen and Rima Kallingal in the lead roles. The script of the project is co – written by Harshad and Rajesh Ravi. All set to begin shooting from July 5 onwards, the project will also mark the debut of Aashiq Abu in the role of cinematographer. The debut of Harshad as a filmmaker is been seen with much an expectation, as he has already proven his mettle as a story teller with ‘Unda’, for which he was appreciated for his script.
With Malayalam movie industry is on a standstill and is uncertain about post Covid situation, the Producers’ Association has announced that no Malayalam film would begin shooting, until the Producers’ Association revises their decision. When inquired, makers ‘Haagar’ maintained that they would ensure that every social distancing norm will be followed.
