Actor and mime actor Aziz Nedumangad said he will no longer imitate actor Ashoka on stage. Aziz’s reaction comes after actor Ashokan said in an interview that Aziz Mimicry imitates him badly on stage. Aziz said this in a press meet held as part of the promotion of the movie ‘Pahanchan Pranayam’.
‘I had seen Ashoketan’s interview. If they find it offensive that we imitate someone, it is their freedom of speech to say so. He probably said it because he felt that way. But I took a decision, I will not imitate Ashoka and stop,’ said Aziz.

People remember stars like him again through mimics like this. Aziz added that only if it is done in few overs, such performances will be noticed on stage.
Ashok’s role as Raghavan in Mammootty’s all-time hit film Amarat is imitated by others including Aziz. In an interview, Ashoka openly said that he did not feel the anchor’s statement that Aziz Nedumangad imitated him in a good way.
“There are those who are good mimics. Similarly, there are people who imitate us very badly. There are people who irritate us. I never thought that Aziz was a good mimic. These were Ashoka’s words.
