Malayalam’s senior actor VP Khalid passed away this morning, reportedly due to cardiac arrest. He was found unconscious in the washroom of his upcoming film’s location in Vaikom. He was shooting for Tovino Thomas starrer untitled film.
Khalid was known for his character Sumesh in the sitcom ‘Marimayam’. He was loved for his realistic acting and sense of humour.
Khalid is survived by his sons, cinematographers Shaiju Khalid, Jimshi Khalid, and director Khalid Rahman.
