The people of Wayanad are going through a great calamity. Tamil actor Vijay is now coming to condole the incident. He responded through the official X page of his party Tamilaka Vetri Kazhakam. He noted that there is deep sorrow in the society and his prayers are always with the bereaved families.
“There is a massive landslide disaster in Wayanad, Kerala. Deeply saddened by this. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who are suffering. “We are requesting the government authorities to provide rescue operations and relief measures to the affected people as soon as possible” – this was his response.
At the same time, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has sanctioned Rs 5 crore as an emergency aid in the wake of the landslide. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has phoned Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and expressed his grief and condolences. He has also offered all kinds of help and cooperation to Tamil Nadu. He also allocated Rs 5 crore from the Tamil Nadu Relief Fund.
The incident took place around 1 am today. The landslide was caused by heavy rains. This disaster is present in Attamala, Mundakai and Churalmala. While the rescue operation was going on, it collapsed again. The landslide happened again around four o’clock. So far 93 deaths have been confirmed here.
