The business entity Adani Group approached the Kerala High Court demanding compensation for losses caused by the protests in Vizhinjam site. The state government has decided to hold talks with Adani Group.
It is learnt that Adani Group CEO will also attend the discussion scheduled by Ports Minister Ahammad Devarkovil on October 13. Matters including resuming construction works and demand for compensation will be deliberated.
The protests have incurred a loss of Rs 78.5 crore, according to the report submitted by Adani Ports to state government on Friday. Adani Group has demanded that the government should compensate for the loss.
The construction work has come to a halt due to protests and Latin community has decided to intensify the agitation.
