Santosh Pandit is one of the most loved actors of the Malayalees. Once he filed a case against actor Suraj Venjaramoot. Now he is remembering that incident. Santosh Pandit says that he filed the case because he pretended to say things he did not say by saying mimicry. It wouldn’t have been a problem if he was mimicking to entertain others, but that wasn’t how the mimicry was done.

Suraj has done religious and non-religious things by playing his role under the name he did not say. How is this mimicry? Is it not fraud if a person pretends to be a collector and comes to the office in the guise of a collector? That is what Suraj did that day.

They used my form to express an opinion on a subject. Aren’t the people who see it wrong? They did not say the dialogue I said in the movie. It was Suraj who made it happen. That’s why I filed the case.

The court took it as mimicry. But there is another side to it. What if someone else impersonated the judge who made this ruling tomorrow using something he didn’t say? If such a case is coming, if I point out this incident, they will be involved. After filing this case, I have not received any further harm from Suraj Venjaramoot. Maybe if I hadn’t done that, they would have thought I could work on the next show. If he does it today, someone else will do it tomorrow. Putting on my costume and commenting on God, how can that be mimicry? Mimicry is imitating what I do and say. My opinion should be my own, not someone else’s. The incident takes place in the year 2018. The program was conducted with reference to programs including Attukal Pongala.
