Air India Express has announced new services from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to Bahrain and Dammam. Thiruvananthapuram-Bahrain service will start on 30th of this month and Thiruvananthapuram-Dammam service on December 1st. Boeing 737-800 aircraft that can seat 180 passengers are being prepared for the service. The booking has started for both the services.
Thiruvananthapuram-Bahrain flight will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays. On these days it will depart Thiruvananthapuram at 5.35 pm and arrive in Bahrain at 8.05 am (local time). The return flight from Bahrain at 9.05 pm (local time) will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 4.25 am. With this, Air India Express has become the second airline operating in Thiruvananthapuram-Bahrain sector.
Gulf Air has been already operating on this route. Thiruvananthapuram-Dammam service is on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On these days, the flight departs at 5.35 pm and reaches Dammam at 8.25 pm (local time). It returns at 9.25 pm (local time) and reaches Thiruvananthapuram at 5.05 am. This is the first service on Thiruvananthapuram-Dammam sector.
