With more than 1 lakh Aircel customers ported their number to BSNL, it seems like the Aircel would soon cease its operations. The data was released by BSNL officials, while they maintained that it was from Tamil Nadu, which the customers opted BSNL over Aircel. The report further stated that in January itself, the state telecom company had experienced over 50,000 customers porting to BSNL.
While commenting on the reports, Aircel Company officials stated that they had witnessed tough times, following the intense competition as well as disruptive entry of a new player. Officials added that the losses increased and resulted in negative business for the company.
