Two leading telecom players in the Indian scenario, have made their plans clear about VoLTE services. While Airtel has announced of rolling out VoLTE services in Kolkata, Vodafone is all expected launching the services in Tamil Nadu by the end of this year. Announcing the launching of its VoLTE services in Kolkata, Airtel stated that the VoLTE service would be made on Airtel’s 4G network with over 100 compatible smartphones.
Vodafone, on the other hand, is getting ready to launch the services in Tamil Nadu by the end of this year. Commenting that they would be expanding their VoLTE network into Tamil Nadu, top officials however declined to comment much about an exact date. Currently, Vodafone VoLTE service is available across the places of – Mumbai, Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka and Kolkata.
