In an attempt to take on Jio, Bharti Airtel has announced a new prepaid plan. Priced at INR 49, Airtel offers 3GB of high speed 3G/4G data. The plan, which is valid for one day, is made available only in selected circles. Users can check whether their circle is under the purview of the plan or not, by visiting Airtel’s website or that of by logging into ‘My Airtel’ app on smartphone. As was announced by the company, for users, to whom the plan is not valid, a recharge worth INR 49, will give 1GB data instead of 3GB data.
The plan is a direct attempt to take on the Rs 49 plan of Jio. According to the plan, Jio offers 1GB data, which is valid for 28 days. Along with data, Jio also offers unlimited calls and 50 SMSs as part of the plan.
