Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and recently during one of the promotional events, he expressed his wish to work in Malayalam films alongside Mohanlal.
During an interaction with the fans, who came for the promotional event of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, a movie buff from Kerala asked whether Akshay Kumar would like to make a Malayalam remake of the upcoming film and also star in it.
“I would love to star in it, but I don’t know how to speak Malayalam,” Akshay Kumar said.
The actor also shared that he will have a chat with filmmaker Priyadarshan, about doing a Malayalam film with Mohanlal. “I did a Tamil film with Rajinikanth sir, I have worked in a Kannada film. It would be my privilege to work in Malayalam. I should talk to Priyadarshan about it, and ask him if he can cast me with Mohanlal. It would be an honour to do that,” he said.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan have worked together on many films, including ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.
