Amith Chakkalakkal is all set to join team Asthra, which is set to start rolling from the last week of December. Touted as a crime thriller, Asthra will be directed by debutant Asad Alavil. Set against the backdrop of Wayanad, Asthra has roped in newcomer Suhasini Kumaran as the lead lady.
While commenting on the project, makers maintained that the film deals with a relevant theme. They also added that the audience would find lots of instances from their daily life featured in the film. Apart from the lead pair, Asthra also stars Kalabhavan Shajon, Santhosh Keezhattur and Senthil Krishna in other important roles.
Planned to be shot extensively in and around Wayanad, Asthra will be produced by Prem Kallat under the banner of ‘Porus Cinemas’, while it will be distributed by ‘Saga International’. 8 years since he made his debut in 2013, the year of 2021 has proved decisive for Amith Chakkalakkal. While his Yuvam turned out to be one of the first hit movies in the year, a handful of movies are getting ready with the actor in the lead role.
