Malappuram: Panakkad Muslim League leaders Syed Rashidali Shihab and PK Kunhalikutty participated in the Ayyappan lamp festival held at Vengara Tali Shiva Temple. Kunhalikutty said that the Panakkad family has been invited to this event for ages and their participation in this event is one of Vengara’s regular favors.
Kunhalikutty has also shared a video of Ayyappan participating in the lamp on social media. In the video, the temple authorities and the locals welcome both of them.
After spending a lot of time in the temple, both of them returned after meeting the Ayyappa devotees and participating in community food.
At the same time, representatives from Panakkat have been coming to the festival for the past 17 national lights. Ayyappa lamp is performed in Ayyappa temples every year in the month of Scorpio. Special pujas and food offerings will be held in the temples as part of the Ayyappan lamp.
