Pathanamthitta: The police have released more information on the incident where the mother killed the baby immediately after giving birth in Tiruvalla. The police found out that the unmarried mother killed the baby to hide her pregnancy.
Neetu, a native of Vettipuram, Pathanamthitta, killed the baby immediately after giving birth. She gave birth to a baby in the closet of a rented house in Tiruvalla. Later, she took the baby away and suffocated her by pouring water up her nose in the bathroom.
Thiruvalla CI also explained that she lied about having PCOD to hide her pregnancy. Police arrested Neetu in the incident.
When the child’s post-mortem was conducted, it was proved that the child’s murder was murder, and after finding traces of water in the child’s internal organs, the police filed a case of unnatural death and interrogated the child’s mother, Neetu.
During interrogation, the child’s death was proved to be murder. Neetu confessed to the police that she had killed the baby to save her. Neetu is a temporary employee of a private medical college in Thiruvalla. She was hiding her pregnancy from her ex-boyfriend at the hospital.
