Superstar couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli in their subsequent video message in multi week have asked their fans and supporters to follow government conventions in handling the coronavirus. In the video, recorded in Hindi, the couple urges individuals to remain at home, and not swarm the avenues.
Anushka and Virat were responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Tuesday declaration that India would be in a condition of lockdown for the following 21 days. Following the declaration, which occurred at 8 pm, there were reports of individuals thronging the lanes hoping to buy fundamentals. Comparative open social events were seen post Sunday’s janta time limitation.

“Swarming the boulevards won’t help rout the coronavirus,” Virat says in the video. Anushka, in the mean time, cautions against the spread of deception and gossipy tidbits. “The country could follow through on an overwhelming cost for your misstep,” Virat says, and includes, “We need to remain inside for 21 days.” The couple closes their message by saying, “Ekta dikhaye, jeewan aur desh bachaiye (Show solidarity, spare lives and the nation).”
In a prior video message, posted on March 20, in front of the janta check in time, Virat and Anushka had stated, “The need of great importance is to totally regard and follow the administration’s mandate. Remain at home. Remain safe. Remain sound.”
