On the other hand, Spotify has met a 2% dip in terms of subscribers. Industry insiders predict that going at the current rate, Apple Music could easily dethrone Spotify as the industry leader.
While describing the glitzy story of Apple Music, industry players maintained that they were unable to crack the reason behind the popularity. That said, having the largest market share in the smartphone market of the US, Apple seems to be getting ready to position its place in the industry in related areas as well. However, Spotify is well above the reach of Apple Music, if one counts the data outside the US.
