Kollam: Arabic teacher sexually assaulted girl students of LP school in Kulathupuzha, Kollam. Batisha, a native of Kattakkada Poovachal and differently abled, sexually assaulted the children by showing them obscene scenes.
In the incident, Arabic teacher Batisha, a resident of Kattakkada Poovachal and a differently-abled person, was arrested. Girls studying in class 3 and 4 were arrested in a case where they sexually assaulted girls by showing them obscene videos on their mobile phones.
The arrest was made under various sections including POCSO and Scheduled Caste Atrocities Act. He was caught from the floor.
The accused is a teacher of Tribal LP School. The sexual assault started three months ago when Batisha started working at the school. The Kulathupuzha police registered a case on the complaint of the parents and arrested the accused on the basis of the statement of two children.
The accused used to show obscene videos to the children on their mobile phones while teaching and during breaks.
After taking statements from other children, the police decided to register more cases against Batisha if necessary. The accused was produced in court and remanded.
