An associate director in the Malayalam film industry, Deepu Balakrishnan, accidentally drowned in Thrissur on Monday. He was 41.
Deepu was bathing in the southside pond of Irinjalakuda Koodalmanikyam Temple at 5 am. His family got into action when he failed to return and found his clothes and slippers near the pond. Soon, the Fire Force was alarmed about the incident.
The body was recovered in the search and soon after Irinjalakuda police arrived at the spot and took the necessary action.
Deepu was an assistant director in ‘Urumbukal Urangarilla’ and also played a role in the film. He was also the associate director in ‘Once in Mind’ and ‘Prema Soothram’.
