The Covid patient, who hanged himself earlier this day at the Covid ward in Thiruvananthapuram, succumbed to death. Though doctors tried their best to save him, Anad native Unni (33) met with death. As was informed by the authorities, Unni, who tried to escape from the Covid ward yesterday, was brought back to the ward, by the collective effort of natives and authorities. He had been suffering from stress since then; doctors maintained that they provided counseling and tried to console him.
According to the reports, the last test samples of this person had turned negative. It came to be known that he could have been discharged from the Medical College in two days. Though the exact source, from where he caught the disease is not known, authorities suggested that he might have caught the disease from Tamil Nadu, where he was said to have gone to get liquor.
