Kerala has registered a total of 1,608 new Covid positive cases. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 803. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 42,887, while the state’s total active cases have reached 14,891. A total of 27,779 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 74 are from overseas, while 90 came from other states.
The state has registered 1,409 cases through transmission in the past 24 hours. Out of those who caught the disease through transmission, the sources of 112 are yet to be traced down. Incidentally, the state has also recorded 7 more Covid death cases, taking the tally to 146.

Right now, 1,60,169 people are under observation, out of which a total of 13,358 are in hospital. Today, a total of 1,859 people have been admitted to hospitals. During the last 24 hours, Kerala has tested a total of 32,108 samples. Till date, Kerala has tested a total of 11,54,365 samples. The results of 9,246 test results are yet to come. The state has a total of 562 hotspots right now.
