During the past 24 hours, a total of 57,982 fresh Covid cases were reported in India. With last day’s figure, India’s Covid tally stands 26,47,664 to its credit. On the other hand, the number of people, who have recovered from the pandemic stands at 57,585. The country has registered 941 new deaths during the last 24 hours. With this, the pandemic has claimed a total of 50,921 lives from India so far. Ministry of Health informs that the active cases in India stands at 6,76,900, whereas a total of 19,19,843 got cured/discharged/migrated.
The recovery rate of the country stands at 72.51%, giving a strong positive note to the country’s fight against Covid 19. ICMR statistics show that the country has tested a 7,31,697 samples last day. With this, the total number of samples tested by India, has crossed the 30 million mark, making the only third country (excluding the figures from China) to do so. Till date, India has tested a total of 3,00,41,400.
