Action superstar Babu Antony who got attention as a superstar in action thriller movie ‘Chantha’, has officially announced the sequel to the superhit action drama.
Babu Antony took to his official Facebook handle to share a picture with the ‘Chantha’ director Sunil and penned a note that read, “ ‘Sulthan’ reloading, as many of you have been asking. ‘Chandha 2’ is confirmed. Had the first round discussion with Director Sunil in Cochin yesterday.”

In the 1995 film, Babu Antony played the role of a labourer named Sulthan who tries to save his community from an evil bourgeoise. He garnered rave reviews for his costume style to even dialogues in the film.
Chantha in 1995 also starred Thilakan, Sathaar, Augustine in the lead roles. The movie ended as the third highest grosser after The King and Spadikam. The film has musical score by M. Jayachandran. The lyrics were written by Gireesh Puthenchery.
Meanwhile, Babu Antony will be seen playing the lead role in the upcoming Omar Lulu’s action-packed thriller titled ‘Power Star’.
Babu Antony is a Fifth Dan Black Belt in martial arts. He made his debut by playing an antagonist in Bharathan’s Malayalam film Chilambu. The actor is known for his monopoly on quick punches, fast kicks and fluid movements in action scenes. His heroic performance as an angry young man built a huge fan following among the audience. His portrayal of antagonists with shoulder level hair and a beard redefined the entire concept of a villain.
