Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati’s commercial hit ‘Akhanda’ has successfully completed 175 days at Chilakaluripeta’s Ramakrishna theatre in Andhra Pradesh.
The Telugu box office has seen steady hit post the pandemic. ‘Akhanda’ has also completed a 100-day run in some other theatres as well.
Akhanda is written and directed by Boyapati Srinu. Produced by Dwaraka Creations, the film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in a dual role alongside Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu, and Srikanth. The soundtrack album and the film score is composed by S. Thaman.
The film opened to mixed reviews from critics with praise for Balakrishna’s performance as an Aghora but criticism for the storyline. The film however was commercially successful grossing over Rs 150 crore at the box office and became the second highest-grossing Telugu film of the year. It is also the highest-grossing film in Balakrishna’s career.
