Actor-Director Prithviraj Sukumaran recently said that he is delighted to see actress Bhavana back in Malayalam cinema and that he has become a huge fan of the actress within five years.
Prithviraj was speaking to Media One and said that people known to him in the industry are glad with Bhavana’s return and hope she will get justice soon.
“I have always been a friend of Bhavana but over the last five years I have become a huge fan of her,” Prithviraj said.
On being asked whether some people in the film industry do not seem to stand with Bhavana, Prithviraj said that the film industry is not a bunch of people living in the same world.
“I am someone who works in film. I have a world of my own. Everyone in that world is happy with the comeback of Bhavana. However, people outside may assume that we are all the same. But it’s not like that. Everyone in my sphere is positively embracing Bhavana’s comeback. I hope she gets justice,” the Lucifer director said.
Earlier, Prithviraj had said that the recommendations of the Justice Hema committee, which studied the situation of women artists in the Malayalam film industry should be implemented soon.
He had said, ” If the implementation is delayed, it will pave way to question why the committee was formed. At the same time, it is not fair to hide the report from the public. The professional space will improve if the report is implemented.”
