Bishop Franco Mulakkal has been confirmed for Covid. Franco Mulakkal, who is in Jalandhar, has been included in the outdoor patient’s list. Earlier, Franco’s bail plea was turned down by Kottayam Additional Sessions Court. His bail plea was turned down mainly on the grounds of not appearing before the court, even after repeated warnings.
Last day, when the court expressed its unhappiness over the absence of the Bishop, his advocate Mandeep Singh informed that Franco was in the primary contact list of a Covid patient. Now, with his test results turning positive, he is not going to be available for attending the court session. He would now have to recover from the disease, following which, he would have to undergo quarantine – reverse quarantine periods as well. Franco Mulakkal is facing lawsuit, over the charges of molesting a nun.
