The investigation team has started probing Raju Thomas in connection with the case of blackmailing actress Shamna Kasim. Raju Thomas is the person, who had allegedly reached the actress’s house soon after the gang’s activities were identified by the family members. Though he told the family members that he came to the house according to the instruction of the actress, Shamna denied it later. He introduced himself as a producer and during the interrogation by the police department, he is said to have mentioned the name of a leading producer in Mollywood.
So far, police have arrested 10 accused in the case. Police is also interrogating a youngster from Kasargode, Yasir, who used to be an active performer in TikTok. Meanwhile, Ernakulam Magistrate’s Court has granted bail for three persons in the case, Abu Baker, Harris, and Sarath. They were granted bail on conditions of surety by two persons, worth 1 lakh. The court also asked the accused to surrender passport and the condition of appearing before the investigating officials on Mondays.
