Thrikodithanam: The police have arrested two people in the case of trying to kill a young man on the grounds of ending his friendship through social media.
Thrikodithanam police arrested Binas (29) from his house in Plamoot in Macchipalli area of Paipad and Shajan (48) from his house in Kulangara in Nalukodi area of Paipad.
The young man who was attacked and Binas were close friends on social media. But later the young man had blocked Unas's friendship.
They attacked the young man due to their enmity. The two accused who were arrested had attacked and tried to kill a youth from Paipad near Vellappally Junction last afternoon.
When they reached the car, they stopped the young man, beat him and attacked him on the head with a deadly weapon. Then they ran away from the scene.
Following the young man's complaint, the Trikodithanam police registered a case and arrested them during the subsequent search. The accused were produced in court.
