Mumbai: Actor, producer and director Rishi Kapoor, 67, has passed away. He was undergoing treatment for cancer. Rishi Kapoor was taken to the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai for treatment of his shortness of breath. Rishi Kapoor, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, returned to India this September after more than a year of cancer treatment in the US. He was hospitalized twice in February. He was first hospitalized following an infection while attending a family function in Delhi. He returned to Mumbai with viral fever and was discharged within a few days.
Rishi Kapoor’s Twitter account, which is very active on the social media, has not been updated since April 2. He recently announced that he will be working with Deepika Padukone in a remake of the Hollywood movie, The intern model. He recently starred in Jeetu Joseph’s Bollywood thriller See the Body.
He won the National Award for Child Artist with his film Mera Naam Joker. His famous films are Bobby, Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi, Amar Akbar Antony, Sargam. Rishi Kapoor married to Neetu Singh in 1980 and has two children, Riddhima Kapoor & Ranbir Kapoor.
