The heart, kidney and pancreas of the brain-dead patient will be airlifted to Ernakulam from Thiruvananthapuram Kims Hospital.
According to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s instructions, he will be brought to Ernakulam by helicopter. The heart will be given at Lizy Hospital, kidney and pancreas at Aster Medicine.
Organ harvesting operations began at Kim’s Hospital. K. Organ alignment is coordinated through the soto plan (mritasanjivani).
The Chief Minister has directed the police for smooth deployment of organs. 36-year-old Selvin Shekhar, a staff nurse, is donating her organs. His wife is also a staff nurse.
