Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is preparing to rollout 5G service across the nation. The move will see India positioning itself amongst the frontrunners in the 5G technology. According to the reports, BSNL would rollout 5G service in India in 2020, while the launch date would be same as that of global rollout of the service. Earlier this year, BSNL reached in on terms with NTT Advanced Technology Corporation, Japan, on creating 5G network in India.
Last year, the national telecom operator was seen reaching in on an agreement with Nokia in their plan of rolling out the 5G service worldwide. BSNL is expecting to receive the premium 700 Mhz band from the Department of Telecom (DoT).
