Kollam: A former sports star died in a car accident on the national highway in Punalur, Kollam. Omkar Nath (25), a native of Tolikode, died.
Omkar Nath is a national medalist and ex-athlete of MA College. Omkarnath is the havildar of SAP camp in Thiruvananthapuram.
The accident happened last night. The accident took place on the Kollam-Tirumangalam highway near Punalur Valakode church at 12 midnight.
The bike went out of control and crashed into a tree. It is indicated that the bike was over speeding. Footage of this has been released.
Meanwhile, another youth who was with him at the time of the accident was shifted to the medical college with serious injuries. The police informed that he has overcome the danger.
