The accident took place at Andipillikav on the Muthakunnam-Paravur national highway at five in the morning on Thursday. In the accident, one of the horns fell off completely.
The elephant, who was exhausted due to bleeding from the part where the horn was removed, was brought to Thrissur Chavakkad Manatala and is being given emergency treatment.
It is reported that this vehicle was over speeding. The elephant was being taken from Kodungallur to Moovatupuzha.
