In a tragic event, 3 people died in an accident in Attingal, Kollam. 5 are admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital with serious injuries. Police has identified the deceased, Azeem (32), Prince and Maneesh. More details are expected to follow. The incident took place at TB Junction in Attingal National Highway last night, when a Tanker Lorry – which was travelling from Kollam Mangalore to Thiruvananthapuram – collided with a Fortuner Car coming in the opposite direction. The car, apparently, was destroyed completely during the event.
The people in the car were all departing after attending a marriage function and were headed to Kalluvathukkal. Informed by the natives, which the Police force and Fire and Rescue team came to the spot; it also took some time to take all the passengers out from the demolished car.
