Thiruvananthapuram: The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) application for 2020 can be submitted from January 1. The next class exam is May 10. Klat is a law entrance exam conducted by a consortium of universities for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at national law universities in the country. The National Law University Consortium says it will change the clat test pattern this time. The exam pattern is changed to reduce the stress of the candidates who are writing the exam. The exam will be reduced from 120 to 150 questions with 200 questions. There will be objective choice multiple choice questions from English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.
Degree-integrated courses are offered at various national law universities such as BA LLB, BSc LLB, BCom LLB, BBA LLB and BSW LLB. At the PG level, there is LLM course.
Candidates who are enrolled in the Graduate Level Five Year Integrated Law Program should have passed the plus two level examination with General / OBC / PWD / NRI candidates having secured 45% marks / equivalent grade. For SC / ST candidates, 40% / equivalent grade is required. One year LLM program entry required to have LLB / equivalent degree. Candidates with General / OBC / PWD / NRI must have 55% marks / equivalent Graduate level. SC / ST candidates will be required to secure a grade of 50%
